Supply Manager

JOB TITLE:               Supply Manager

LOCATION:              Two Harbors, MN

Job Summary:

The Supply Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain and inventory processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely procurement of materials, supplies, and services necessary for manufacturing operations. This position collaborates with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement across the supply chain.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute supply strategies aligned with production schedules and organizational goals.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, performance reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and material usage to ensure production continuity and minimize downtime.
  • Analyze supply chain data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvement.
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, production, and engineering teams to align material availability with production demand.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to supply chain operations.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory control, vendor management, and procurement processes.
  • Support new product introduction by coordinating timely supply of required materials and components.
  • Lead cycle counting and physical inventory processes to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel as needed.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Five (5) years of supply chain or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

SALARY:                  $65,000-$79,000 annually

BENEFITS:               Eligibility to participate in the company incentive bonus program, subject to the terms and conditions specified in the incentive bonus plan document.
