Database Coordinator/Product Structure Specialist

We are currently looking for a Data Base Coordinator/Product Structure Specialist. This position is responsible for creating, designing, modifying and revising the Bill of Materials (BOM) for manufactured products and attachments. It also involves creating and entering routings with estimated standard costing, entering supplied calculated process and routing sheets from Engineering, investigating BOM work supporting/implementing the Change Notice (CN) request process, along with specifying BOM structure for various product options and entering/maintaining item master records.

 

GENERAL DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Processes CN requesting BOM work on current and older models.

· Determines product structure of Engineer’s BOM.

· Prepares sequential routings for the manufactured product.

· Performs BOM audits of existing bills on the production floor and checks the accuracy of Engineer’s project bills.

· Maintains BOM and Part Master revision control for the Engineering Department.

· Acts as the primary liaison between Operations and Engineering to maintain accurate data base records.

· Assists Engineering on use and research of data on an as needed basis.

· Enters information (costs and labor rates) supplied from both Purchasing and Accounting Department.

· Answers questions concerning change in costs for the Accounting Department.

· Assists Inventory Control on time phasing CN’s to minimize obsolete inventory.

· Assists Engineering on the EPICOR system and cross trains personnel on CN and acts as the Change Control Coordinator.

· Maintains a working relationship with various levels of company personnel.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

1. Associate’s degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school.

2. Understanding of the EPICOR (ERP) system.

3. Five (5) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

4. Ability to read blueprints.

5. Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

6. APICS Certification highly desirable, but not required.

7. EPICOR experience highly desired.
