Business Development Manager - Southern US

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our business. This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities to increase sales of SERCO products throughout the Southern U.S., including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. This involves traveling and exploring new business opportunities to increase market share, forming new alliances, exploring new ways of targeting markets, along with providing ideas for new products and/or services to better serve the needs of existing and future customers. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with customers.

 

GENERAL DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintaining current customer relationships and identifying areas for potential customers.

· Contacting potential customers to establish a business relationship and meet with them.

· Provide training and present new products to the different customers and other sales representatives from GRYB sales network.

· Following up with prospective customers to close new business opportunities and increase brand recognition.

· Developing new sales areas and improving sales through various methods.

· Researching the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business.

· Attending conferences, meetings and industry events, such as trade shows.

 

QUALIFICATION/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

1. Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing or related field.

2. Five (5) years of proven sales experience in heavy equipment sales preferred.

3. Ability to express technical and non-technical concepts clearly and concisely.

4. Strong understanding of company products and services.

5. Market knowledge.

6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

7. Ability to build rapport.

8. Time management and planning skills.

9. Ability to travel.

10. Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of CRM software preferred.
